Thank you to everyone who participated in our #HopeRocksCR Scavenger Hunt in Campbell River this past August. Our partner in the project, the Campbell River Art Gallery, conducted the prize draw on Friday, Sept. 10 – follow this link to the gallery’s Facebook page to watch the draw and see who won.
We are grateful for the participation of many businesses in downtown Campbell River who displayed the rocks for the scavenger hunt and donated prizes for the draw. The prize baskets were amazing! We’ve included the full list of participating businesses below so you can see who contributed to our community initiative.
We also wanted to thank the community for painting the word “hope” on more than 100 rocks this summer. We saw “hope” in so many different languages at the art gallery through July and August, and at the Courtenay Downtown BIA’s Chalk the Block event.
Enjoy this short video slideshow by the Welcoming Communities Coalition celebrating the linguistic diversity in our community – hope does indeed rock!
