New, online Multicultural Parent Support Circle for newcomer parents on Vancouver Island

“Everyone is the expert of their own family. Sometimes it just takes a bit of space to hear yourself and the voices of others in a parenting role to find your way through.” – CVIMS and Parent Support Services BC

The Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society (CVIMS) is excited to announce the start of a new Multicultural Parent Support Circle.

This group will be hosted online and is open to newcomer parents of all cultural backgrounds living across Vancouver Island, including Campbell River, the Comox Valley, and the North Island region.

The goal of the circle is to provide newcomer parents (or anyone in a parenting role) connection, support, and advice from other parents who are going through similar experiences adapting to parenting in Canada.

The Multicultural Parent Support Circle is free and starts Wednesday, Nov. 3 and runs weekly at 7 p.m.

Please note that this program is run by CVIMS and Parent Support Services of BC, not the Immigrant Welcome Centre. To register, fill out this form or reach out to Sandi Halvorson at 250-468-9658 or sandi.halvorson@parentsupportbc.ca.
