NEW! Campbell River International Family Recreation

Did you know that in Campbell River we have a new social group?

Campbell River International Family Recreation, led by Sarah Wright, is a group that welcomes everybody, no matter their age. Sarah is scheduling a variety of events to help newcomer families connect and get to know the community and its services better. Earlier this year, the International Family Recreation hosted a meet and greet at Broadstreet Properties, and a skate and swim night at the Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex. Both events were a success! The skate and swim night saw about 40 people participate and have the opportunity to gain skills both on ice and in the water, thanks to the staff of the Strathcona Garden that provided training and guidance.

“The event went really well,” says group coordinator Sarah Wright. “It was so great to see all the kids and parents on the ice.”

The next event will be a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Campbell River Sportsplex. “Everyone is welcome. We have the whole gym and a room for games, socializing, and snacks. Please register and feel free to bring your friends. Don’t forget to wear green!” Sarah says. The event is free and it will take place at the Campbell River Sportsplex on Friday, March 17th, from 5 PM to 8 PM. Space is limited so registration is required – register here: https://bit.ly/CRstpatrickday2023
