We now offer Digital Support!

The Immigrant Welcome Centre is excited about now being able to offer digital support to our Permanent Resident clients. We feel that this is an important service to be able to offer to you, as access to things like application forms for jobs, studying, applying for a passport, etc, they have all been moved online. We will help
you develop your computer skills to give you a great foundation to build on, plus we will give you a few tips and tricks on how to stay safe online.

The modules we cover are:

  • Mouse and Navigating on the computer
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Online Skills Basic
  • Online Skills
  • Email
  • Mobile Phones
  • Safety and security online
  • Zoom

How does it work?

Call 250-830-0171 and ask to be booked in with the Digital Support Worker, Dawn. You will meet with Dawn in person and then she will do the assessment at one of our offices in Campbell River or Courtenay. This usually takes between 20 and 30 mins. This assessment is important, it helps us to tailor our services to your personal needs. Once this is done, we can then plan together what training you require. Please note you do not need a computer to do the assessment, as it will be provided.
Dawn looks forward to meeting you all!
