Welcoming Communities Coalition

Local Immigration Partnership

Working together for diverse, inclusive and welcoming communities

The Welcoming Communities Coalition is a regional community development initiative coordinated through the Immigrant Welcome Centre.  Our goal is to create more welcoming and inclusive communities in Campbell River and the Comox Valley.  The Coalition seeks to collaborate with, strengthen and work together with local residents, community agencies, initiatives, organizations, businesses and government agencies in the region.

We are currently conducting a Needs Assessment research. We are hoping to collect data from newcomers, other residents and service organizations. This information will help us identify gaps and overlaps in service delivery in order to ensure that our local programs and services are addressing critical needs of the community. The survey results will be used to guide how organizations work together to improve services to best support international immigrants/newcomers as well as the community. Please share this information with your friends, family, church/faith groups or other networks.
