Coalition potluck brings volunteers together

The Immigrant Welcome Centre’s Welcoming Communities Coalition hosted a potluck at Miracle Beach earlier this month as a way for its volunteers, supporters, and their families in Campbell River and the Comox Valley to meet each other.

Volunteers from the Immigrant Advisory Table, Steering Committees, IWC staff, and newcomers who participated in Coalition forums and focus groups were invited to Miracle Beach for an afternoon of sharing food and outdoor games such as volleyball, bocce, bean bag toss, and a giant game of Jenga brought by the Association francophone du centre de l’île in Campbell River.

After many Zoom meetings, we enjoyed the opportunity to connect in person. Thank you for attending!
