Members of the IWC’s Welcoming Communities Coalition are invited to our first 2023 Coalition Council meeting of the new year.
This is an opportunity to share experiences and learn about collaboration and partnership building so that we as a community can be more welcoming to immigrants and refugees.
All Coalition members are encouraged to share their emerging needs as related to newcomers and learn how we can collaborate together and support each other.
Active partner engagement is key to creating more inclusive and welcoming communities. Current Coalition members represent sectors that are directly involved in, or have an interest in, the integration of newcomers, including employment/labour, social justice, government, education, health, emergency services, and more.

Comox Valley members can join us on Jan. 12, 2023 at the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre Wave Room (377 Lerwick Rd.).
Networking and coffee/pastries – 9:30 a.m.
Meeting – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Both meetings will feature a presentation by LOVE Community Response Network titled Invitation to Provide LGBTQ2S+ Inclusive and Affirming Services.
