At the Immigrant Welcome Centre, everyone is ready to celebrate our 30th Anniversary – and we want you to join us!
We are hosting an Open House on Thursday, June 16, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Campbell River Library’s courtyard (1240 Shoppers Row) and on Thursday, June 23, from 11 AM to 2 PM outside the Courtenay IWC’s office (407A 5th Street).
We’ll celebrate by having cupcakes and live music with Tony Fantillo in Campbell River, and with Anela Kahiamoe in Courtenay. There will be fun activities, such as rock painting, play-dough, and a selfie booth, and our community partner Baba Gannouj will be on-site in Campbell River with their food truck, while in Courtenay our neighbour Rawthentic Eatery will offer delicious lunch deals.
We’re also having a draw! Become an Immigrant Welcome Centre member during the next few weeks (June 1, 2022 – July 8, 2022) and your name will be entered in a prize draw for one of two gift baskets filled with goodies from local donors!
